Job Title: Senior Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Engineer / Hands-On Architect About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Engineer with strong software development and infrastructure expertise to join our Clients dynamic team.
This hands-on Architect role is ideal for someone passionate about developing robust, production-ready APIs, driving on-premises automation, and mentoring teams in best practices.
You will play a crucial role in automating infrastructure management, streamlining operations across multiple teams, and enabling scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Automation: Develop, implement, and maintain automated pipelines for provisioning and configuring infrastructure using CI/CD, GitOps, and other DevSecOps best practices.
API Development: Design and build production-grade APIs for seamless integration with on-premises storage arrays and other infrastructure resources.
Framework Development: Create and scale an IaC framework tailored to our customer's needs, ensuring adaptability and ease of future expansion.
Mentorship and Training: Guide and empower the customer's team to extend and manage the IaC framework through mentoring and paired programming.
Collaborative Innovation: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, optimise automation solutions, and drive infrastructure efficiency and innovation.
Requirements Experience in Software Development: Proficient in writing and optimising code for production.
Infrastructure Knowledge: Strong understanding of infrastructure components and hands-on experience with on-premises solutions (e.g., storage arrays).
IaC & DevSecOps Expertise: Skilled in creating automated, CI/CD-enabled pipelines using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins, with a strong grasp of GitOps practices.
Architectural Skills: Experience as a hands-on Architect capable of driving IaC adoption and infrastructure automation across teams.
Mentorship: Ability to coach and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance in adopting best practices and extending infrastructure frameworks.
