Senior Information Compliance Officer - 12 month maternity cover Hybrid - 3 days working from home Central Oxford Grade 8 £48,235 - £57,255 The Information Compliance team are responsible for the University's approach to Data Protection/GDPR and work across the university to support the processing of all personal data.
This ranges from getting involved in individual subject access requests through to world-renowned research.
This is a key role in improving the privacy practices within the university.
In the short and medium-term the focus will be on the provision of advice and guidance to our divisions and departments on the detailed application of data protection requirements, such as privacy by design and data protection impact assessments; and the further development and implementation of University-wide guidance and policy.
Whilst the work will cover the full range of the University's activities, much of it is likely to focus on the University's extensive and world-renowned research, and the increasing demands made by funders for assurance that data privacy requirements are met.
You should be enthusiastic and highly motivated, capable of working in all areas of the team's work, particularly the investigation of personal data breaches; and the development and provision of policy/advice and project work.
