Position: Senior Human Resources Advisor
Location: Gillingham, United Kingdom
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday: 07:30–16:00, Tuesday–Thursday: 07:30–15:30, Friday: 07:30–14:30 (37 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break). Some flexibility may be required.
Role Overview: Act as a strategic partner to managers and employees, aligning HR initiatives with organisational goals. Ensure compliance with UK employment laws, foster a positive workplace culture, and support organisational performance. Manage complex employee relations cases, workplace investigations, and HR policy implementation.
Key Responsibilities: Work with leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives. Provide data-driven insights to support informed decision-making. Advise managers on HR-related matters, ensuring compliance with UK employment law. Manage employee relations cases, including disciplinary and grievance processes. Conduct workplace investigations and resolve conflicts effectively. Develop, implement, and monitor HR policies and procedures. Deliver training to managers on employment law and HR best practice. Support workforce planning, recruitment, and succession planning. Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Lead organisational change initiatives, including restructures. Analyse HR metrics to identify trends and recommend actions. Design and lead recruitment and wellbeing initiatives. Manage and deliver HR projects. Person Specification: CIPD Level 5 or 7 qualification. Significant experience in a senior HR role, with a focus on employee relations. Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices. Proficiency in HR systems (e.g., Workday HRIS) and Microsoft Office. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Strategic thinker with adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and ability to build trust at all levels. Benefits: 27 days' annual leave (pro rata) plus bank holidays.
