Lead on mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings, including transfers of engagements, asset purchases, and dissolutions.
Provide strategic advice on group structures, joint ventures, and collaborative working arrangements.
Governance & Compliance Draft and review constitutional documents, advise on board composition, decision-making, and conflict of interest management.
Develop and review governance policies and procedures, including codes of conduct, schemes of delegation, board remuneration, and more.
Support boards and members with training, risk management, and meeting requirements, ensuring robust governance across the organisation.
Regulatory & Charity Law Advise on charity law, including incorporations, trustee responsibilities, serious incident reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Guide clients through housing regulation, ensuring compliance with the Regulatory Framework, Capital Funding Guide, and Homes England requirements.
What You Will Need: Strong experience in the social housing sector, particularly in corporate governance, mergers & acquisitions, and regulatory compliance.
Proven ability to manage complex legal issues, offer strategic advice, and work closely with boards and senior executives.
In-depth knowledge of charity law, housing regulation, and corporate structures relevant to social housing.
