Senior Health Economist – 12 months Contract Hybrid - 2 days in the office per week ROLE PROFILE To effectively demonstrate and communicate the value of an allocated product portfolio to national payers thereby removing barriers to market access, via a proactive in-house approach to Health Economics.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES Leads the development, review and refinement of UK/Ireland National Market Access Plans for BI products in collaboration with various internal stakeholders Recommends the optimal HTA strategy and leads all aspects of the HTA process for allocated products in UK/Ireland, a business critical process for achieving market access Takes a prominent role in cross-functional Franchise teams and is a recognised authority, ensuring that Market Access is integral to brand strategy and tactics Proactively produces and disseminates high quality materials that communicate the value of BI products to national payers.
Conversant and fully compliant with ABPI and IPHA codes of practice and BI SOPs Timely and accurate delivery of horizon scanning information on pipeline products.
Ensuring Market Access input during early stage product development and assessment In depth technical knowledge of HE modelling and value communication & implementation using a variety of channels Demonstrates Centre Of Excellence behaviours by providing leading input to, and adaptation of (where appropriate), Corporate HEOR materials ensuring they are fit-for-purpose and relevant to the UK/Ireland setting and the ABPI code of practice.
Commissioning and managing large projects with third-party vendors and both internal and external stakeholders.
Fosters the in-house development and training of other BI health economists.
REQUIREMENTS At least MSc in Health Economics or equivalent discipline Able to work at a strategic level within cross functional teams Good working knowledge and practical experience of o all methods of economic evaluation o the requirements and processes of HTA bodies including NICE and the SMC o UK and Ireland market access barriers o development of payer materials that can be used to support market access o training cross-functional teams (informal) WHY THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO WORK Boehringer Ingelheim has been recognised as a Top Employer in the UK.
