Senior Games Designer - competitive salary on offer with excellent benefits package The ideal candidate will come from a background designing online slot machine / casino style games. This is a leadership position, and you will be responsible for overseeing the entire game delivery process, from conception to completion including the delivery of new games across new territories including overseas locations.
Responsibilities: Develop new game concepts and present new game ideas and mechanics that align with the creative briefs. Collaborate with the studio to ensure concept viability before further development. Detail and document game requirements for production purposes. Design games while adhering to current legislative requirements across targeted territories. Work closely with the broader development team to creatively steer game production from concept to final product. Skills and Experience: Must have worked in the online gaming sector for at least 5 years with a deep understanding of what makes these types of games enjoyable and engaging. Previous work experience creating and delivering game titles into online / interactive / casino style games. Understanding of legislative requirements in overseas territories where new games will be released is advantageous. Broad knowledge of current game types, including their structures, mechanics, and presentation standards across different markets. Experience with visual design tools for game creation and storyboarding. Ability to communicate new game concept ideas to the wider studio and production team, including documentation of this. Understanding of mathematical game control methods and their implementation. Aware of the game approval process in different markets. Occasional travel to overseas territories (twice per year, fully funded trip). Experience working to deadlines and willingness to work additional hours if necessary. Ideally have experience in an Agile environment and familiarity with JIRA. Must be a UK passport holder. Nice to have: Experience creating and delivering online game titles in overseas territories such as North America. C++ programming experience or similar. Knowledge of game engines such as Godot, Unity, or Unreal. Benefits: Hybrid working with 2 days required in the office.
