Exciting Opportunity: Senior Flooring Estimator Location: Sevenoaks and surrounding areas (TN13) Position: Senior Flooring Estimator (80/20% residential/commercial) Hours: 40 hours per week (6-day rota, includes one Saturday per month) Salary: £32,000 - £37,000 per annum + 10% monthly performance bonus About The Role: As our Senior Flooring Estimator your role is dynamic and varied, with responsibilities including but is not limited to: Acting as the primary liaison between clients, suppliers, and contractors to ensure timelines and quality standards are upheld.
Collaborating in the showroom/warehouse alongside the owner, project manager, and operations manager.
Guiding clients through the showroom, helping them find the perfect flooring solutions.
Visiting client properties to measure areas, assess, and provide detailed on-site quotations.
Quantifying materials and labour, creating cutting and floor plans.
Producing visualisations of potential products for client approval.
Submitting, following up, and amending quotes for assigned clients.
Working with sales staff to secure orders and process deposit payments.
Booking installations, managing the project diary, and coordinating with the operations manager and installation teams.
Conducting pre-site visits for priority clients to ensure smooth project execution and outcomes.
Liaising with the bookkeeper regarding payments and completed projects.
Planning projects by working with clients and the project team to develop detailed plans, timelines, and budgets.
Coordinating with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Overseeing installation schedules, ensuring smooth project delivery and client satisfaction.
Overseeing the installation process to ensure adherence to quality standards and project specifications, tracking progress and addressing any issues.
Providing clients with project updates and addressing any concerns.
Serving as the key liaison between all involved parties, including the end user, designer/s, and general contractor, to keep projects on track and within budget.
What You Bring: Previous estimating experience in a construction related field is essential.
Detailed knowledge of carpets, runners, rugs, wood flooring, and luxury vinyl tiles is preferred but full training will be provided.
Proficiency in computing and software such as Masterpiece, Carman, and Office 365.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Full UK driving license with fewer than 6 points, as required by our insurance policy.
