What will I be doing? The Senior Finance Operations Manager will be an experienced people leader that oversees and leads the management accounting and financial reporting across Kaluza's international footprint in the UK, Portugal, Australia and the US. Due to our global reach, this role will be incredibly varied and will work on issues of a diverse and complex nature. The key objectives of the Kaluza Core Finance team are:
Finance Operations: To ensure resources are directed, monitored and measured in an accurate and timely manner and to maintain a 'No Surprises Environment'.
Financial Planning: Allocate future resources across Kaluza and introduce a clear method to achieve these plans.
Your role will be the primary contact for our internal teams when it comes to all things finance operations. You will be a key enabler and responsible for the seamless running of the finance operation, influencing changes that improve our processes and how we work with our teams across the globe.
Your core responsibilities will include: Consolidation of Kaluza's global results; accurate and timely production, combined with meaningful analysis of monthly management accounts for the Board, Exec team and external stakeholders. Creating and maintaining technical accounting papers. Managing and monitoring compliance with all of Kaluza's international tax affairs (including VAT, Employee related and other taxes). Support set-up of new international businesses financial systems and business processes. Liaising with the external auditor for Kaluza, including management of the external audit process, as well as supporting the Group audit process. Creation of Kaluza's external statutory accounts and filings. Management of the treasury function, including relationships with banks, commercial banking and debt funding and reporting. Cash Flow and Risk Management: Ongoing maintenance of financial internal controls environment and production of monthly KPI reporting. Payroll: Oversee the smooth running of the Global Payroll Operations function, including management of relationships with providers and stakeholders across our global locations. Coach, lead and develop the FinOps and Payroll team including effective management of performance and development of career frameworks. Provide clear goals for your team, aligning people and resources to solve key, complex problems. Connect with other People Leaders and work closely with counterparts in the people operations team, championing and encouraging alignment in ways of working and collaboration. Actively get involved in organising or leading activities for your squad or our wider communities to build a great culture at Kaluza. About You: Ideally you'll have/be:
A high degree of initiative and a commercial, entrepreneurial mindset. Experience of accounting and company administration preferably in multiple jurisdictions. A qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with at least 3 years post qualification professional experience. Comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment and who is comfortable proposing, justifying, initiating and implementing change. Strong presentation, relationship building, negotiation, facilitation and conflict resolution skills with senior stakeholders. Able to apply analytical skills beyond the traditional functions of finance and to bring them to bear on a broad range of commercial issues. A team player - good open communicator and collaborator - keeps colleagues up-to-date, shares and learns without prompting. Diligent with a preference for attention to detail, and willing to dig and investigate at depth to resolve problems. Ability to see beyond the detail and present information in a simplified way.
