An experienced and proactive Senior Analyst (Liquidity) is sought for a pivotal role within the Finance, Planning & Analysis team.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute significantly to liquidity risk monitoring, forecasting, and management reporting.
The role involves providing critical insights into liquidity trends, supporting the identification of potential risks, and contributing to ad hoc projects related to liquidity planning and oversight.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, modelling, and forecasting, with an in-depth understanding of liquidity regulatory frameworks.
They will thrive in a fast-paced environment, delivering accurate and insightful analysis under tight deadlines while engaging effectively with stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities Monitor and forecast liquidity metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Reconcile actual ratios with prior periods and forecasts, providing variance analysis and detailed commentary.
Work closely with Treasury, Risk Managers, and business units to ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of liquidity forecasts and metrics.
Build and maintain strong relationships across the organization, leveraging effective stakeholder management to achieve optimal outcomes.
Develop and refine liquidity forecasting methods to enhance accuracy, speed, and efficiency.
Contribute to the development of new liquidity indicators, aligning with the evolving ILAAP framework.
Conduct analytical reviews of liquidity metrics, identifying trends and providing actionable insights.
Support the oversight of liquidity stress events, analyzing triggers and assessing potential risks.
Maintain high-quality documentation, ensuring robust internal controls are in place to safeguard financial data and liquidity risk processes.
Contribute to liquidity planning projects, delivering high-quality outputs tailored to business needs.
Skills & Experience Required Demonstrable experience in liquidity risk management, financial analysis, and forecasting.
Strong understanding of liquidity regulatory frameworks and their practical application.
Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial modelling and scenario analysis.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to stakeholders.
Highly organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
Experience in variance analysis, scenario modelling, and liquidity forecasting.
A logical and systematic problem-solver, adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
Additional Information This role is hybrid, requiring two days per week in the Birmingham office.
