As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will partner closely with the Sales and operations teams to analyze the business performance, communicate the financial results, run financial models and evaluate business opportunities. You will drive financial controllership and compliance to internal policies, and innovations to improve our finance tools and processes. As a member of an EMEA Finance team, you will be involved in EMEA wide projects and/or Subject Matter Expertise.
This role requires a solid financial modeling background, advanced Excel abilities, problem solving skills, a keen attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations and project management skills. This role has regular interaction with various business units across Amazon and requires strong interpersonal skills.
Key Job ResponsibilitiesOwnership of key reporting metrics (KPI's) and narratives to help business partners understand areas of growth as well as opportunity for engagement.Support the business in investment decision, long term plan and initiatives sizing.Improve the existing finance processes and drive controllership processes.Create, influence and execute a vision to measure investments across AGS.Learning OpportunitiesAutonomy to innovate and deliver new approaches that impact the top and the bottom line.Grow and collaborate across a wide network in a fast-paced environment.Being surrounded by inspiring and diverse talents across many different sectors and professional backgrounds.Ability to develop new skills and opportunities through lateral, geographical or functional moves.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree.Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes.Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMBA, or CPA.Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
