37 hours per week Your role: This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded and forward-thinking finance team.
You will be a key individual in providing dedicated financial support to the Council's Children Services Directorate.
Following significant investment, the Children Services Directorate is embarking on a significant transformation programme including the implementation of a Family Safeguarding Model.
As part of a business partnering approach your role will be key in providing the support required to ensure the delivery of a financially sustainable position.
About you: You will have knowledge of the challenges facing local government finance and have experience of assisting with the delivery of key transformation.
You will be able to present relevant financial information to enable effective, informed decision making.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills to work with key stakeholders at various levels, and the ability to work independently to tight timescales.
You will be a highly motivated team player that can display the Be Wigan Behaviours positive, accountable and courageous.
