The successful candidate will report to the Export Contract Management UK Executive and will possess a comprehensive and profound set of commercial, financial, and project management skills to lead and deliver complex and strategically significant export contracts.. As a Senior Export Contract Manager, the successful candidate will join the Programmes Export Operations Directorate, bringing their expertise and experience as an accomplished Export Contract Manager.

An experienced manager with a proven track record of leading contract delivery through both the bid and execution phases, ideally within an international environment.

Effective interpersonal and communication skills, along with an open, confident, and clear leadership style, are essential.
Experience in people management and leading internal and external stakeholder relationships in a leadership role.
Be prepared for international travel with an open mind to embrace different cultures.
Experience in preparing and authorizing bid submissions, ideally with exposure in the role of Business Bid Authority.
Experience of working in large complex organisations (preferably multi-national) with experience of collaborating with Corporate Functions; new business; finance; legal; customer support; export control; project management; quality; shipping; engineering; corporate compliance.
What you'll get to do as a Senior Export Contract Manager: As a Senior Export Contract Manager, the successful candidate will lead the commercial interface with international government and military customers for contract delivery up to the 1* level.
They will manage multiple cross-domain and geographically diverse contracts, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering strong relationships.
The role involves resolving contract delivery issues through risk and opportunity management, leading customer acceptance events, managing transport delivery solutions, and capturing contractual payments.
Additionally, the candidate will handle communications with customers, government and industrial partners, and internally within the company.
They will lead contract amendment negotiations and support Sales & Business Development in acquiring new international business.
The candidate will also collaborate with the client's national companies (NATCO) in France, Spain, and Italy to deliver Inter Company Trading export contracts.

As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by our clients Security Team.
