Role: Senior Events Manager (Maternity Cover) Offer type: This is a fixed term contract until December 2025 Salary: £43,483.70 - £45,000 Location: This is a remote role, based nationally NCS Trust is an equal opportunities employer, embracing diversity and inclusion.

Role Purpose The Senior Events Manager is responsible for leading and developing our central events programme, supporting the Trust to achieve our strategic aims.
This role reports to and supports the Head of Trust Communications by leading on special projects and events to raise the profile of NCS Trust and support the NCS vision and strategy.
The Senior Events Manager will also be responsible for developing and managing a successful Events Team, managing 2 event colleagues.
Key Activities Responsible for leading on "All Trust" events and "Leadership Team" events which will support a positive culture and ensure colleagues feel connected and understand the NCS strategy Develop relationships with youth sector partners to create opportunities for events involving NCS Trust staff and young people.
Lead and deliver key projects and events to raise the profile of NCS Trust (including National and Royal events ) Responsible for managing influencing high profile events such as MP and parliamentary events Manage and develop a high performing NCS Events Team Work with the Events Manager, to develop and implement an effective resource planning process to ensure that events across all directorates are supported Develop the skills of the team, acting as expert advisor to support team members when needed.
They will proactively spot skills and experience gaps and provide developmental experiences and coaching to enable team members to grow their expertise Manage fiscal control of the departmental budget (c£390k) and all events budgets (c£1.5mill annually), - managing profit and loss, reconciliation and forecast budgeting Take responsibility for health and safety management, events insurance, liability, safeguarding and data protection for all events, including managing risk and maintaining event data in line with legislation and data governance Manage and deliver best practice and innovation across the organisation and NCS network in all events delivery, in enhancing quality and reducing cost Take responsibility for the procurement and management of services, providers, suppliers and external consultants for events delivery.
They will Initiate and manage relationships with sponsors and stakeholder organisations Share and support the creation of events best practice within the NCS network Provide written and verbal reports as required to leadership and exec teams Demonstrate value for money across all events delivery Be responsible for other tasks in line with the general remit for the post as directed Role Specific Skills Exceptional communication and influencing skills, particularly when influencing colleagues and external stakeholders without direct authority Excellent creative intuition Empowers team and provides strong line management Excellent presentation and organisation skills Strategic problem solver, who understands the value of engagement to win hearts and minds Identifies strategic opportunities and creates ways to capitalise on these An eye for value and ability to run successful and efficient procurements Ability to orchestrate and lead projects across teams and departments Flexible and able to multitask efficiently and prioritise workload, adapting plans if required Not afraid to try something new and experiment with new technologies or techniques Possess innovative ideas and a can-do attitude Measures of Success All events delivered to a high quality, on time and within budget An engaged & proactive events team Deliver a successful cycle of Trust events as laid out by the CEO & Executive Team Effective budget management Experience & Qualifications Essential: Proven experience in events and events management Proven track record of planning and executing successful events Experience leading as part of an integrated team and working with senior colleagues across the organisation including the CEO and directors Previous experience of line management Desirable: Significant experience in the development and management of a team, able to demonstrate success in supporting and coaching team members to expand experience and skills Experience working in the youth sector or with young people.
Experience with parliamentary events.
