A large Civil Engineering Contractor with a £134million turnover are now looking for a Senior Estimator with civil, structural, temporary works and geotechnical experience to join their growing team in Belfast.
They're looking for an experienced individual to work on projects within the tunnelling industry as well as above ground structures.

Senior Estimator Position Overview Securing future projects that encompass Safety, Wellbeing, Profit, Environment, and Sustainability values.
Review project drawings, contracts, and specifications to understand scope, materials, and requirements.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and designers to gather essential project information.
Attend monthly CVR meetings for feedback on current projects Calculate and prepare detailed cost estimates for labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractors Prepare comprehensive bid packages, including cost breakdowns, schedules, and proposal documents for clients and subcontractors Assess potential risks and contingencies in project estimates and bids Conduct B2B introductions and presentations when required with clients and suppliers.
Senior Estimator Position Requirements Degree Educated, Working Towards Chartership.
Site Experience in Tunnelling or Civil Engineering Strong understanding of heavy civils, tunnelling, and trenchless works Experience in producing winning bids for projects ranging from £500k to £20m Good contractual understanding, mainly NEC 3 and NEC 4 Experience in Bid Strategy and Risk Costing.
Project Planning and Programming.
Proficiency in using construction estimating software Effective communication and negotiation skills.
Professional certification (such as Certified Professional Estimator) is beneficial.
