Senior Estimator

Recruit 2 You is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator with substantial experience in industrial steelwork to join our client's team at their office based in Alfreton, Derbyshire. The individual must be highly motivated and have a background and knowledge of chimneys, ducting & secondary steel.
Key Responsibilities: Carrying out steel take-offs; measuring and qualifying material from engineers and architects' drawings/specifications. Developing cost estimating in line with business systems and protocols. Establishing budgets for the commercial, procurement, and project teams. Reporting to the sales director & liaising with staff and clients at all levels as the role requires. Maintaining and improving the quality of estimating techniques and processes. Qualifications and Experience Required: Experience working in renewable energy/MOD/Nuclear is desirable. Must have a good understanding of technical drawings, construction methods, and engineering principles within the metalwork or structural steelwork industry. Good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with clients, engineers, and suppliers. Excellent IT skills with sound knowledge of all MS Office programs essential. Specific training will be provided in bespoke software. Additional Details: This is an office-based position in Alfreton. Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 per annum, based on experience. 20 days annual leave rising to 25 after 3 years. Stakeholder pension scheme.
