Are you looking for your next step?This role will manage and support all of aspects of estates maintenance in relation to fire compliance.
This includes the organising and reporting and report on planned preventative maintenance activities related to statutory and mandatory requirements as stated in legislation, regulations, British standards and health technical memorandum.You will support an improvement programme in Estates Compliance focusing on fire.
You will weview and implement new processes and systems in relation to statutory and mandatory planned preventative maintenance that assists in reporting Estates Compliance across UHBW.
Main duties of the job Your role will include: Assist with those delivering new capital developments, both operational and strategic, to ensure that the impact on existing fire related assets, installations and the design of new ones is appropriate and is optimal for the future performance of the estate.Be responsible for the planned (PPM) programmes for fire related installations, reviewing these regularly to ensure that statutory, mandatory and best practice is observed and that they are safe, efficient and effective in operation.
Continually review what reactive maintenance is undertaken to assist in understanding asset performance.Initiate and implement solutions using new technology to address problematic maintenance issues.Participate in the 24-hour emergency 'On Call Rota' for all maintenance services.

Person Specification Experience Essential To have experience of Estates Statutory and Mandatory requirements for Hard FM services, with an emphasis on fire engineering Direct experience of Fire Compliance and maintenance obligations Understanding and appreciation of electrical & mechanical services within a commercial building in relation to fire engineering specifically To have experience as project lead Desirable NHS and/or public sector experience with Health Technical Memorandums & Health Building Notes.
Knowledge and experience of building contracts, NEC or JCT Qualifications Essential Corporate membership of appropriate professional body, IHEEM IMECHE, IEE, IIE RICS, RIBA CIOB, CIBSE etc.
(E) Possession of a degree, preferably in construction/engineering or demonstration of equivalent experience Skills Essential Demonstrable staff management skills including communication, delegation and an understanding of basic terms and conditions of employment Possession of an up-to-date knowledge of legislation and regulations relating to all aspects of planning, construction and good working practices.
