The role We are currently recruiting for two Senior Environmental Protection Officers.
Based in the Environmental Protection Team, you will deliver the council's statutory obligations around pollution control, air quality, statutory nuisances, private water supplies, anti-social behaviour and enviro-crime.This is a diverse and varied regulatory role, and you must be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of good regulatory principles and apply these across the full scope of the post duties.
This will range from written advice and warnings to implementing various regulatory interventions including drafting and serving legal notices, issuing FPNs/civil penalties, provide responses as a consultee and preparing cases for court proceedings.This post is permanent.
The hours of work for this position are 37 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, however some work will be required outside of normal office hours including weekends where necessary.
The post is based at Morecambe Town Hall.

A full current UK driving licence is essential.
As a result you will be required to sign up to the authorised external DVLA driving licence validation organisation that we use to manage and monitor our employees driving licence data.
