Responsibilities Company Policies: Manage and follow the quality, health, safety, and welfare policies of the company To supply design/project support to the Lead Design Engineer in a multi-disciplined design team Lead and instruct Design Engineers in the company and customer defined design procedures.
Support Graduates and Design Engineers with CAD skills and sound design principals to enable them to meet project defined targets Undertake projects and tasks to complete supported by junior colleagues Support the Lead Design Engineer to meet programme/project targets and will be expected to interface with suppliers and customers Liaise with CAE engineers Apply design and manufacturing techniques to ensure they can support on assigned projects.
Essential Skills HNC / Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering subject Experience of design engineering within Interiors is essential Strong ability to use Catia V5 along with Microsoft packages Relevant experience in an Automotive Engineering Discipline i.e.
Interiors/Exteriors, BIW, Tooling or Mechanisms.
Other experience will be considered dependant on technical knowledge and relevant experience Must have the ability to work to instruction and integrate into a successful design team Must be prepared to work overtime when required to meet deadlines.
The role may at times require travel to customer sites and work in co-located teams.
