Senior Electronics Engineer Location: Southampton or Isle of Wight (Hybrid) Salary: £50-60k Job Type: Permanent Our client is looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer with a strong focus on electronic hardware development to take the lead on electronic aspects of the product lifecycle.
This hands-on role involves working closely with a small, collaborative team, driving both new product development and the improvement of existing products.
Key Responsibilities: Act as the Technical Lead for electronic design, verification, and qualification.
Oversee electronic design processes, including peer reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide technical mentorship and problem-solving support to the production team.
Collaborate with the sales team on technical proposals and customer support.
Must-Have Skills: Proven experience in hardware design for embedded electronics.
Proficiency in tools like Altium, LTspice, or similar design packages.
Experience supporting products throughout their lifecycle.
Desirable Skills: Experience with EMC-compliant design and knowledge of military specifications.
Interest or experience in optical sensor design is a plus.
Personal Attributes: Strong multitasking abilities, with the capability to mentor others.
Proactive in identifying issues and implementing solutions.
Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships across teams.
