Senior Electrical Engineer We're pleased to present the opportunity to join Urenco as a Senior Electrical Engineer.
Based at our Capenhurst site location, you'll provide discipline-specific engineering services within the UUK Engineering & Projects department to ensure the delivery of safe, cost-effective engineering solutions.This role is based within the Engineering Support department whose focus is on delivering engineering solutions and modifications to support safe, reliable operation of the site assets.
In this role you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team of engineers providing electrical skills and knowledge to support effective delivery or work packages.
Your areas of focus will range from the enrichment plants to site infrastructure assets, as well as supporting delivery and acceptance of capital projects.

Our aim is to recruit and retain talented people who can help us deliver outstanding customer service and achieve long term commercial success.To be great at this role it would be beneficial to have the following experience:Degree in relevant Electrical Engineering.Chartered member of a relevant engineering instituteMinimum of 5 years' experience in a relevant industry.Good understanding of Engineering design processes in a heavily regulated industryExperience working with electrical systems up to 11kVExcellent working knowledge ofIET wiring regulations 18th editionCable calculations & protection systemsExperience working with UPS systemsGood, broad understanding of other engineering disciplines, technologies, plant systems and processes that are present in the companyExperience of asset management principlesWhat will your day look like?Working with team members to identify solutions to engineering issues and to manage the health of our assets.Producing high quality engineering deliverables to cost and schedule which comply with UUK design procedures, relevant codes and standards, and nuclear site license requirements.Providing routine progress updates and specialist technical input to a variety of forums as required.Providing advice and guidance to stakeholders across a range of business functions.Identifying technical solutions to problems encountered on site and supporting the delivery of these.Undertaking technical investigations as required.Undertaking commissioning activities when required and authorised to do so.Produce appropriate specifications for contractors and manage their delivery.Oversee activities and deliverables from contractors, to ensure work is carried out to specification, on time and compliant with UUK procedures.Actively manage and record CPD from on-the-job training and any external learning, in order to provide robust evidence for professional registration/membership and SQEP.Actively progress development of your knowledge of UUK assets, processes and business drivers.What can you expect of us?At Urenco we're dedicated to offering flexible benefits that support our people across all aspects of their lives.
