The Role: As a Senior Ecologist, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality ecological services.
Your work will directly contribute to the success of environmental and renewable energy projects across the UK, ensuring ecological compliance and sustainable outcomes.
What You'll Do: Conduct ecological surveys, including Phase 1/Fossitt habitat surveys, protected species scoping, and bat surveys.
Produce comprehensive reports, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Ecological Impact Assessments, and biodiversity management plans.
Liaise with clients and statutory consultees to ensure project requirements are met.
Attend client and site meetings.
Undertake the Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) role when required.
What We Are Looking For: Essential Criteria: A degree in ecology or a related field.
Significant professional experience in report writing.
Strong understanding of ecological legislation and regulations.
Experience in Phase 1 habitat surveys.
Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and flexibility to travel across the UK.
A full driving licence and your own transport.
Desirable Criteria: CIEEM accreditation.
Post-graduate experience in ecology surveys.
Experience in ornithology, bat surveys, and using ArcGIS.
Knowledge of Groundwater Dependent Terrestrial Ecosystems (GWDTE).
Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) experience.
