Key Responsibilities Development of new data extraction and reporting processes; ensuring that for each piece of work: A clear Brief (Terms of Reference) covering Objectives, Requirements, Deliverables, Timeframes, Milestones, Key points of interactions and Success Metrics are set Successfully delivering (on time, to scope and on budget); orientating each project / task to deliver maximum business benefit whilst adhering Data quality, Coding standards, Validation frameworks and documentation standards as set out by Data Office & Data Governance teams Ensuring any output (data, code, process) is aligned to the ongoing business strategies (i.e.
future proofed) Undertake a review and subsequently (where needed) redevelop, refactor & rationalise the legacy data and extraction & reporting jobs, code and processes Re-scoping, aligning and developing existing MI framework Designing & redeveloping those that bring the greatest efficiency improvements to the team Working with the recipient business units to ensure the new code meets their current business goals and is aligned to their future business plans Standardise routine processes for greater consistency, efficiency and control to deliver quality Standardise routine processes for greater consistency, efficiency and control to deliver quality Review / create process documents that show key steps Review / create prototype programmes, reporting standards Incorporating appropriate check points, decision milestones, interactions Standardised central & standardised Reporting Folder Structure People and Development Act as mentor/coach to more junior members of Data Office team Be a Technical Champion for data, SAS, SQL, Excel and all technical data & information related processes Identify any knowledge traps or single point of failure Identify opportunities to drive efficiency and cost reduction through effective use of resource, data & process automation Identify opportunities to drive efficiency and cost reduction through effective use of resource, data & process automation Key Skills and Attributes Prior experience in working with large data sets in an analytics background.
Knowledge of SAS, SQL, Python and other Data Tools Experience in managing projects with senior stakeholder involvement Creative / Innovative approach to problem solving
