The Role Manage team, work collaboratively across the Group, ensuring achievement of KPIs and contribute to creating a positive working environment for all colleagues. Assist Head of Design/Design Manager in delivering the company & brand strategy, establishing clear brand positioning in the market. Manage and deliver the financial plan for the brand/s, adhering to budgets and maintaining appropriate cost controls. Actively monitor trading across the brand/s and react to sales, making timely decisions to maximize revenue and profitability. Source and develop products that excite and inspire the customer. Build strong customer knowledge. Ensure collections meet the customer profile and brand identity. Oversee the development of each range for the brand/s, ensuring all designs come in correct first time. Train junior members of the team in producing detailed spec sheets and hand-made samples. Oversee the sourcing process for materials and components. Collaborate to input in original inspiration themes through trend research. Create and present inspiring yet commercial company ingredient boards. Lead in creating and designing innovative, original designs and concepts. Attend 'first look' range building as required. Ensure all design development aligns with brand pricing and option framework. Review ranges globally to maximize margin benefit. Identify, support, and grow key suppliers through relationship building and product development. Manage and implement key activities in the 'critical path' to meet design requirements. About you Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent in jewellery or accessories design.
Competent in Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
Sound commercial acumen and trading experience.
Creative flair with at least 6 years of design experience.
Competent hand-making skills for constructing buying samples.
Awareness of Far East suppliers and jewellery production processes.
Good understanding of the retail market, fashion trends, and brand positioning.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to design across multiple brands and work under pressure with tight deadlines.
