Data QualityData Quality is the department responsible for ensuring the best possible data quality across all of our GB and Irish panels. Responsibilities of the department are varied.
The team is accountable for ensuring the quality of our data through the various stages of the end-to-end process, monitoring, analysing and investigating different aspects of our data.
Role PurposeTo develop an in-depth understanding of at least one Worldpanel service, including a good understanding of the end-to-end Operational process and the ability to reconstruct reported data outside of any standard reporting tools.
Be responsible for all required day-to-day tasks to ensure the smooth running of that service. Find opportunities for improvements and contribute to the development plan for their service. Become a service matter expert on the service(s) worked on, becoming accountable for elements/all of the service.
The ability to work autonomously and to troubleshoot issues within the Production cycle.
Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesData Quality Develop an in-depth understanding of the end-to-end process of at least one Worldpanel service.Be responsible for all day-to-day tasks required to ensure the smooth running of the service.Be accountable for the accurate delivery of data on the service(s) that they have responsibility for.Responsible for maintenance of quality dashboards, with regular reviews.Understand the impact on quality of actions and decisions.Responsible for reviewing actions undertaken on service, to drive efficient and effective processes.Start to autonomously contribute to service development.Become a "go-to" contact for the service(s) they are responsible for.Process and Continuous Improvement Identifying and implementing efficiency improvements within their service(s).Data and Information Security To respect the confidentiality of panellists' personal information and to handle all communication and data in a responsible manner in accordance with GDPR, our Privacy Policy and all other relevant guidelines and legislation.Understanding the Wider Business Develop a broader understanding of the Operations functions.Develop a broader understanding of our direct competitors.Training & Development Take ownership for self-development and where available participate in structured training.Gain proficiency in all relevant databases, data interrogation and reporting tools (for example SQL, Python, R, Excel, etc.).Start to contribute to the development of more junior members of the team.Communication & Collaboration Continue to develop professional working relationships across the business (including Commercial) and externally.Be able to communicate in an appropriate manner (e.g. verbally, presenting or creating a PowerPoint, Word document, email).Adhere to deadlines and raise concerns where there is a risk of delays.Demonstrate and role model best practices and techniques including positive communication style.Display a proactive attitude when working both within and outside of the team.Demonstrate clear, direct, and to-the-point communication at Data Quality team meetings.Partner management.Issue Management and Best Practice Proactively identify and conduct root cause analysis of service issues, and resolve these to mitigate any impact to panel members or critical metrics.Take an active role in regular service review meetings with Team Managers and Leadership team to establish priorities and future requirements.Work closely with other departments to capacity plan and support new projects or service enhancement initiatives.Knowledge sharing through the team, in either team meetings or day-to-day with the wider Data Quality team.Resource Management Organise your workload efficiently.Adhere to schedules.Contribute to resource planning for all BAU and projects.Ability to contribute to resource planning, understand challenges to their own resource.Raise any risks to deadlines and capacity challenges.Skills and Previous ExperienceTech: Python or R, SQL prior coding experience.1-2 years Market research, analytics experience.Numerical degree e.g. stats, maths.What You'll Get From Us25 days annual leave (excl. bank holidays), plus your birthday off!Flexible benefits across health, wealth and lifestyle.Extensive training and excellent scope for career development.A collaborative and supportive work environment!Reasonable AdjustmentsKantar is committed to offering equal opportunities to all individuals including during the recruitment process.
