Senior Data Protection Lawyer

Our client, a global telecom company, is seeking a Senior Data Protection Lawyer (6PQE+) for a 12-month contract starting mid-January.
The role involves advising on data protection, digital laws, Privacy & Electronic Communications Regulations, AI, and online safety compliance.
You will provide data-focused legal support to the Consumer division, collaborating with both consumer stakeholders and commercial lawyers.
Working with the Data Legal and Compliance teams, you will help ensure regulatory compliance and advise on structuring consumer-focused initiatives from a data perspective.
Responsibilities include reviewing data protection impact assessments, drafting and negotiating data-related contract terms with strategic partners, and supporting the resolution of data disputes and regulatory issues.
This full-time role offers a hybrid arrangement, with three days per week based in one of the company's offices in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Belfast, or Bristol.
A four-day week may be considered for the right candidate.
