Senior Data Engineer (Azure Synapse) Type of work: Contract (Inside IR35, PAYE model)
Work setting: Hybrid (3 days onsite / week)
Location: Glasgow
Rate: £400-£420 / day
Responsibilities Data Engineering: Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for data integration.
Work with large datasets, including structured and unstructured data.
Ensure high-quality data ingestion and transformation.
Synapse Analytics Expertise: Configure and optimize Azure Synapse Analytics workspaces.
Design and manage Synapse SQL pools and serverless queries.
Integrate Synapse with other Azure services like Data Lake, Power BI, and Azure Data Factory.
Performance Optimization: Improve the performance of queries and data storage.
Use indexing, partitioning, and caching techniques.
Collaboration: Work with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
