Salary £55,000 to £65,000 depending on experience Permanent Hybrid / London Hub At Saga, we are looking to recruit a Senior Data Analyst as we are embarking on a big data transformation journey across all our established business units, Cruise, Insurance, Travel, Saga Money and Saga Magazine.
As a group we are focused on growing our customer base, allowing for deeper customer relationships. Working in the Data Analytics team on a fixed term contract, you will instantly become part of this pivotal team that is shaping our data strategy and driving the development of advanced analytics solutions.
Your primary responsibility will be to harness the power of data to extract meaningful insights, inform strategic decisions, and contribute to the organisation's overall success.
We work in a hybrid way at Saga both at home and in the office. When you do come into the office, it'll be with a real purpose in mind – to meet with your team, to work together, and of course to socialise and celebrate too! We will look to start the successful candidate into the post, early 2025! Role ResponsibilityAs one of our Senior Data Analysts you will be fully accountable for the following areas;
Data Analysis and Interpretation: Develop and Oversee the analysis of large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights relevant to business objectivesReporting and visualisation: Develop and deliver clear and impactful reports and visualizations to communicate key findings to stakeholders. Ensure that reports and dashboards are insightful and align with business objectivesCollaboration with Stakeholders: Working closely with business stakeholders and technical colleagues to understand analytical requirements and integrate insights into existing workflows & applications. Communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical counterpartsData Quality and Governance: Ensure the quality and integrity of data used for analysis, implementing and maintaining data governance best practices. Collaborate with IT and data teams to resolve data quality issuesAgile ways of working: Demonstrate experience in working in an agile environment, participating in sprint planning, and adapting to changing prioritiesContinuous improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics. Bring the most relevant ones back to SAGA and find ways to implement them to unlock business valueThe Ideal CandidateWorking as a Senior Data Analyst at Saga, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Proven experience in an analytical role, with a track record of successful project deliveryExperience with analytics tools such as SQL, Python and RConfident user of visualisation tools such as TableauExcellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex analytical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersDemonstrated experience working in an agile development environment, with a focus on iterative and collaborative project deliveryA curious nature, with the drive to learn and master new tech and methodsHave gained a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as Statistics, Economics, Mathematics of Business AnalyticsSaga Values: Make it Happen, Do the Right Thing, Customer First, Excellence Every Day,
