Job summary Due to internal promotion an excitingopportunity has arisen for a band 6 clinician within the Crisis and HomeTreatment TeamThe purpose of the Crisis and Home treatmentTeam is evolving we currently provide crisis assessment and home treatment topatients in acute mental health crisis in the least restrictive environment.CAHTT also work closely with inpatient services to facilitate early planneddischarge.
The Crisis & Home Treatment Team alsomanage the Hatton Suite for those detained on a S136 of the MHA; and alongsidethis we offer an overnight Liaison service to Wye Valley Trust.The role includes assessment and home treatmentin locations to include the patients home within the Community and/ortreatment rooms based at the Stonebow Unit.
Crisis & Home Treatment Team operate a 24hour service 7 days per week.

Main duties of the job It's alittle unpredictable, as you can be called at any time to a crisis situation,we discuss referrals each morning and three times weekly we review our caseloadwith our consultant psychiatrist.Wecomplete comprehensive risk assessments for every patient, these can becompleted independently although sometimes we discuss more complex patients asa Multi-disciplinary team.
We liaise with families and carers, GPs,community mental health teams, social care teams, community nurses,physiotherapists and voluntary organisations, and anyone who is necessary tomaximise recovery.

Person Specification Skills & Abilities Essential Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English in both verbal and written formats.
Computer literacy.
Ability to meet the travel requirements of the role.
Knowledge Essential Good working knowledge of Mental Health Act legislation and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
Clinical Governance, Risk Assessment and Adult/Child Protection Legislation.
Qualifications Essential RMN/Social Worker Evidence of post qualification training / studies to post graduate diploma level Required to train to MAPA Level 1 I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
Experience Essential Three years post-registration experience, with one year at a senior level Demonstrate clinical leadership in a multi-disciplinary team setting Experience working with severe and enduring mental illness Desirable Experience of assessing people who deliberately self-harm and those diagnosed with personality disorder Experience of working with people who engage in substance misuse Experience of working with/assessing people with cognitive impairment and/or functional mental illness Working with user and carer groups
