Senior Cost Manager Birmingham (3 days in office/on site and 2 days at home) Competitive salary + benefits Company Overview Our client is a well established international real estate and infrastructure consultancy with offices in Birmingham and other key UK cities, who work with a variety of high calibre and long-standing clients across the public and private sector.
Their team in Birmingham is undergoing a period of growth due to increased client demand, as a result they have the opportunity for a Senior Cost Manager to join their innovative and dynamic team, working on industry-leading projects.
The sectors they work in are varied, with training to be provided however there is a current need for an ambitious individual to work on multi sector projects across the region.
The Role They are looking for a Senior Cost Manager to help deliver some of the most exciting projects in the region across the public and private sectors.
There is a great opportunity to work with a number of their leading clients, along with a strong project pipeline of work providing both job security and sustained career progression.
Key accountabilities: Ensure that contracts are carried out in accordance with project objectives and policies Provide precise project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to completion in accordance with the budget Proactively monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow, and ensure that applications are made correctly and in a timely manner Collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including program performance, cost control, and value engineering Effectively manage contract changes, ensuring that projects remain within governance and adopt best practices Drive improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgets Experience and skills: A proven track record of delivering high quality cost management/quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycle across any sector (sector specific training to be provided) Professionally qualified or working towards/looking to achieve (RICS or similar) Degree or HNC level qualification Contract Management experience (NEC3, Option C preferred) Experience of working on major programmes and projects Ability to successfully manage and prioritise more than one project at a time This is a great opportunity to join a growing business with an exciting pipeline of work who will provide the successful candidate with the support and guidance to grow with the business both personally and professionally.
