Senior Consultant, Regulatory Change, Capital Markets GreySpark's Business Practice is focused on assisting our capital markets clients address key business challenges by delivering tactical or strategic change projects, conducting targeted business reviews and defining target operating models.
We are currently looking for a Senior Consultant - regulatory change to join our continuously growing team.
Responsibilities As a Senior Consultant, you will be working with Lines of Defence teams and executing your role in delivering regulatory change initiatives and implementing/enhancing risk and control frameworks across a diverse range of projects.
You will be supporting our team to provide valuable insight and advice to clients to enable them to be compliant with various financial regulations.
Ensure that all changes affecting regulatory obligations follow a defined change management Framework.
Work closely with Front Office, Product Control, Legal & Compliance, IT, and Operations to ensure all Regulatory deliverables are implemented accurately across all regimes and at the appropriate priority.
Implement best practices in terms of validating current regulatory requirements and ensure future requirements and changes adhere to these best practices Understanding the impact regulatory regimes have on governance, controls, process and architecture is required.
Build and roll out appropriate MI to provide impactful and concise information as to the status of regulatory change Understand the implications of regulatory change due to existing and new local and cross-border regulations.
Perform regulatory horizon scanning Liaise with Front Office teams to deliver their desired risk and control agenda Requirements: Minimum 5 years' experience in Capital Markets (Tier 1 & 2 banks, hedge funds, asset management or vendor) Proven experience delivering regulatory change projects in a Business Analyst / Project Management capacity.
Proven experience working across the 2 lines of defence (1LOD & 2LOD) and a thorough understanding of the function of the 3 rd line of defence (3LOD) Strong functional knowledge of Regulatory/operations project life cycles (FRTB, ESG, MiFID II,BASEL or other Regulatory Regimes) Strong technical knowledge & experience with the ability to analyse large data sets.
Strong track record in project delivery, with an ability to develop and deliver high-quality output against project objectives to tight deadlines Extensive and in-depth business analysis skills: Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), current state (as is), future state (to be), gap analysis, solution design.
Broad risk management understanding across both algorithmic trading and operational risk and controls Ability to write concisely and summarize complex regulatory text Strong commercial awareness of financial regulations Qualifications: An excellent academic track record; a minimum grade of 2:1 on a Bachelor's degree relevant to the financial services industry
