EY UK's Insurance Risk & Regulation Team works across the insurance market on a broad range of engagements with a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering consultancy services and support in risk and compliance matters.
The Insurance Risk & Regulation Team focuses on delivering sustainable benefits to our clients through enhancing business decisions based on improved and effective risk and compliance management.
Our objective is to be market leading in supporting the delivery of the CRO and CCO's agenda. Accordingly, the Insurance Risk & Regulation Team looks to offer both breadth and depth in all Compliance and Risk Management initiatives; ranging from providing advice on a specific element of the Conduct and Risk Management Frameworks in more detail, through to delivering full Risk and Compliance Transformation programmes for the client, collaborating with multiple EY Teams.
The opportunityAs a Senior Consultant within the Risk and Regulatory Advisory team in Insurance your typical engagements supported by our insurance professionals include:
Supporting firms navigate regulatory change e.g. Consumer Duty, FCA thematicsSupporting firms respond to actions for the PRA or FCADesign and/or review of end-to-end risk management frameworksDesign and review of governance and organisational structureKey Responsibilities:Contribute to the articulation of EY findings, conclusions and recommendations in writing or verballySupport the analysis of emerging issues, the articulation of an EY point of view and the development of an EY propositionSupport engagement planning, management, and leading small teams in insurance engagementsWork effectively as a team member sharing responsibility, providing support and updating senior members on progressSupport bids and proposals for new client opportunities and grow existing valued relationshipsTo qualify for the role, you must have some or all of the following:Experience of General and/or Life Insurance risk experience at a major insurer, broker or intermediary or another Advisory firmUp to date knowledge of the regulatory environment impacting insurersStrong academic backgroundStrong report writing and presentation skillsIdeally you will also haveClient management skills and ability to build and develop networks and relationshipsAbility to prioritise and challengeAbility to work in a consulting role, with the ability to build networks and relationshipsWhat we look forWe are looking for individuals who have a proactive attitude and are seeking the opportunity for personal and professional growth.
