Join our Circular Economy and Resource Management Team (CERM) as our new Senior Environmental Consultant and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.
Your new role As a Senior Consultant in our Circular Economy and Resource Management team within our Site Solutions Department, you will be providing sustainable waste and resource management solutions to sites in the property, industrial, hi-tech, energy and transport sectors.
You may also be supporting colleagues within the Site Solution department in undertaking land contamination assessments and remediation.
This role is about embedding the Circular Economy into development projects and supporting our clients to implement sustainable solutions to the challenges they face.
CERM is integral to the Ramboll strategy, and we are growing our team to meet the challenges that our clients face and the increased demand for sustainable development.
Your key responsibilities will be: Preparing and delivering waste related Environmental Permit applications, variations, transfers, and surrenders for Deposit for Recovery and Disposal Permits.
Writing Waste Recovery Plans.
Supporting clients with regulator engagement and in understanding waste permit obligations.
Developing and implementing Materials Management Plans, as required under the Definition of Waste Code of Practice.
Authoring technical reports.
Collaborating with colleagues in our multidisciplinary and international market, including Buildings, Transport, Energy, Water, Architecture and Landscape and Management Consulting.
Supporting existing clients and helping to develop new client relationships.
Manage projects from start to finish.
Preparing proposals to meet client needs.
Providing technical expertise and mentoring of early career team members.
Contributing to Ramboll's climate and sustainability commitments through the CERM services we provide and the ways in which we work.
Your new team You will be part of our Environment & Health team based in one of Ramboll's UK offices.
The role will involve being an active member of an established national team.

About you From the moment you start at Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you can continue to grow with the company.
You may have specific experience in one particular area (e.g.
Materials Management, Waste Permitting etc.)
or have a broader background.
Whilst we look forward to supporting your continued learning and development, for this role we have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success.
These include: Appropriate degree in environmental sciences, or a related environmental discipline.
Master's degree in an environmental discipline (advantageous).
Background in land contamination.
Good working knowledge of the Environmental Permitting regime, the CL:AIRE Definition of Waste Code of Practice (DoWCoP) and other relevant Quality Protocols.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Prior, demonstrable experience in project management.
Managing, supporting, and developing people.
Proficient with IT packages including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Competent and efficient report writing skills.
