We work with public and private sector clients nationally to identify and test the feasibility of real estate investment opportunities; helping clients to build up the case for change and make the best real estate investment decisions.
The successful applicant will ideally have experience in planning and developing estate and infrastructure projects and programmes.
In addition, you will have supported the development of estate strategies, and authored business cases using the HM Treasury 5 case model and have a robust understanding of the business case development stages from Project Initiation to Full Business Case.You & Your backgroundWe are seeking an individual who is highly motivated, flexible and who has excellent communication skills.
You will be able to engage with clients at all levels and be passionate about nurturing such relationships.
Specifically, you will:Be experienced in the preparation of business cases (SOC / OBC / FBC), estate / property strategies, property target operating models, and change management.Hold a relevant real estate industry qualification or experience.Have experience in a client side and consultancy environment.Have exceptional interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be confident in managing client relationships.Be financially literate, with a good commercial understanding and financial analysis capability.Have the ability to understand and combine commercial, strategic, and operational perspectives.Be persuasive and not afraid to challenge, debate and influence key decisions.Demonstrate programme management, project management, capital projects and contract management skills.Competent in the handling of data sets and analysing/presenting data to evidence proposed solutions.Being a team player, collaborative and confident with others and ability to remain calm under pressure.Flexibility to travel as and when required, plus also to work in new sectors or environments.QualificationsEssential Relevant professional qualification: Batchelors degreeProject Management Qualification Prince 2 or MSP or equivalent relevant experienceBusiness Case Writing Skills or equivalent relevant experiencePrevious experience of working collaboratively and managing change across multi-disciplinary teamsProject Management planning and organisational skills, including the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Knowledge of the HM Treasury 5 case model and experience of supporting business case authoring and development Able to demonstrate experience of working with large and complex datasetsExcellent interpersonal, persuasion and influencing skillsAble to work flexibly and adapt to suit the changing requirements of the projectExcellent communication skills, both written and oral and including presentation skills.Able to prioritise and manage own workload with minimal supervision.Clear understanding of good practice data management procedures.Desirable Relevant Industry qualification – Surveying, Engineering, Financial, AccountingEvidence of continuing professional developmentBetter Business Case AccreditationExperience of Strategic infrastructure programmes in large/complex organisationsExperience of working as a project manager level in Health or Social Care servicesAbility to lead and develop Business Case for major capital investment opportunitiesDemonstrate initiative and resilience to deal with challenges and resistance.Able to use data ( MS Excel, Power BI) to deliver perceptive and well-supported analysis which can be used to drive evidence-based solutions to complex issues.Additional InformationThe Real Estate Consulting team is focused on providing high-value, independent, trusted advice to our clients, that delivers and embeds sustained real estate performance improvement.Our client work focuses on corporate occupiers, both public and private sector including central government departments, local authorities, NHS organisations, universities, and colleges, plus the manufacturing, and technology sectors.We help our clients understand, capture, and improve both the financial and non-financial performance of their real estate portfolios, in particular ensuring performance is aligned to business goals and organisational objectives.
