Senior Construction Project Manager - Nuclear

We have a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to be part of the leadership team, shaping the delivery on one of the largest and high-profile nuclear projects in the UK.
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager with Construction site experience in delivering complex projects to join our defence sector on a contract at a facility near Reading.
The role requires a minimum of Security Clearance at SC level with some to DV level, therefore the ability to obtain clearance is essential.
Must be a UK passport holder.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: · Leading the operational management and delivery of projects / sectors within a large complex project.
· Be accountable for programme delivery and schedule adherence.
· Building relationships with key stakeholders (Client, Supply Chain Contractors, Construction Manager functions) and maintaining regular communication.
· Ensuring the project / sector programmes is achieved and maintained.
· Leading weekly programme, short term look ahead sessions with the construction team and supply chain to promote and assure schedule adherence.
· Leading weekly longer term programme review sessions with the planning team, supply chain and construction team to ensure the longer-term programme remains realistic, achievable and risks are assessed and mitigated.
· Attending Monthly project wide programme review session aimed at mitigating critical path elements of the project and de-risk delivery.
· Working with package management teams to provide direction to the supply chain and administer the supply chain contracts.
· Ensuring work between contractors is deconflicted and prioritised as required by the programme.
· Ensuring nuclear safety and quality requirements are to the highest standard.
· Closing out and handing over completed work packages to commissioning.
· Performing against a tight schedule and budget through effective management of deliverables, quality requirements, risk and opportunity management.
· Creating an inclusive environment, leading and motivating others to achieve and deliver successful project outcomes.
· Managing and supporting others in implementation and application of project controls and commercial management (NEC3 & 4).
· Ensure that key deliverables within each stage of the project are being achieved, to the highest standard on a consistent basis, safely and with due regard to nuclear safety requirements.
£650/day (DOE) limited company engagement and is outside IR35 (subject to assessment).
12 months+ anticipated contract duration.
