A quick look at the role The Senior Software Configuration Manager will define the software configuration strategy, tools and policies, leading the configuration of Biffa's SaaS and legacy systems.
The job holder is responsible for the defining the configuration principles and implementing those principles across the internal configuration team plus holding 3rd parties to account to deliver.
They work closely with the business leads, programme managers, senior product managers and technical teams to ensure there is a clear approach to how changes are made to systems by technical & business teams, providing support & training to upskill business teams.
The role is responsible for the configuration of multiple software systems including D365, DayForce, operational waste management systems and therefore requires a broad knowledge of how SaaS systems can be updated in a controlled manner.
Your core responsibilities Define the software configuration strategy and approach for Biffa's SaaS and legacy systems.
Hold 3rd parties to account to configure systems on Biffa's behalf following the configuration approach, implementing governance processes to manage the quality of their work.
Build relationships with business stakeholders as part of the product team approach to create effective cross-divisional teams delivering fast paced change.
Be the escalation point for business stakeholders for SaaS system changes, managing business expectations.
Work closely with the business stakeholders to plan the configuration needs & roadmap over a rolling 12-month horizon.
Work with the Software Development Manager to define Biffa's low code / no-code strategy and implement it.
Manage the configuration management budget with a focus on return on investment.
Our essential requirements 5 years experience in leading software configuration teams Experience with Dynamics 365 is required and DayForce is preferred but not essential Experience managing teams with wide range of experience levels.
