Job Description As a key member of the Communications team within our busy and fast-paced Group Marketing function, you'll work closely and collaboratively with colleagues and senior stakeholders across the globe to support the delivery of our internal and external communications. In this crucial and varied role, you'll show a flare for writing and be skilled at adapting your style to suit different audiences and channels.
You'll be an eagle-eyed proofreader and a real stickler for detail.
You'll also be digitally savvy and comfortable navigating a variety of web-based content platforms. You'll enjoy sharing your ideas, taking ownership of your work and seeing things through to completion.
You'll need to be a quick learner, highly organised and with great initiative as the team routinely juggles multiple tasks and projects within tight timeframes.
You'll thrive on building relationships across the Group and be a real team player, eager to get stuck in with whatever needs to be done to help the team and ensure deadlines are met. Tasks Drafting and editing a wide variety of internal and external communications, e.g.
press releases, website/intranet news stories, employee spotlights, Q&As, technical factsheets, blog articles, email comms, social media posts, long form articles and video messaging Working collaboratively on the development and roll-out of dynamic internal and external content calendars Building email comms and e-newsletters using brand templates and helping maintain distribution lists Drafting industry award entries on behalf of the Group and individuals within the business Monitoring and reporting on competitor marketing communications activity Providing communications support for the delivery of key Group projects Lending communications support to the wider team in the delivery of key events as required Developing initiatives to drive our internal culture and engagement Key competencies for position and level Communicates effectively Interpersonal savvy Organisational savvy Action oriented Plans and aligns Key behaviours we expect to see In addition to demonstrating our Group Values (Authentic, Bold, and Collaborative), the role holder will be expected to demonstrate the following: Proactivity Positive attitude Accuracy Enthusiasm Willingness to learn Responsiveness Qualifications Required Experience Education / professional qualifications Degree in Marketing, PR, Journalism or English, or the CIM Professional Marketing Diploma Background experience Minimum 3 years' experience in a PR agency or in-house marketing team with a specific focus on communications Technical Strong copywriting and editing skills with excellent spelling and grammar Exceptional attention to detail Strong verbal communication and people skills Excellent organisation skills with ability to multi-task and balance competing priorities Ability to translate technical insights into engaging content Experience conducting desk research and distilling key information Computer / program knowledge Experience using content management systems (CMS) to edit website or intranet content Experience using email marketing platforms, e.g.
