We are seeking an ambitious professional with a solid commercial background ideally within the energy sector, to join a fast-growing area at Centrica.
This position is a 12 month fixed-term contract role and is based in either Salford or Windsor with a hybrid working arrangement.
This role requires an energetic and resilient leader who can drive forward optimal commercial solutions tailored to client needs.
In this role, you'll leverage your expertise in complex commercial structures and creative problem-solving to ensure a quick progression from deal qualification to closure.
As a vital Senior Commercial Manager, you will contribute to strategy within the commercial team and the broader business, as well as confidently represent the organization in executive client meetings.

Key accountabilities Working with multiple industry standard and bespoke contract structures: PPAs, EPCs and service agreements Negotiate and close contracts with a strong working knowledge of key contractual provisions, performance conditions, commercial risk and mitigations Utilising standard internal processes across functions to reduce closure time for opportunities and advance the deal cycle from qualification to commercial close Adherence to commercial contract best practice, ethical standards, laws and regulations Broad energy project development skills with an understanding of the application of regulatory, compliance, consents and connections requirements to specific projects Continuous improvement, proactively suggesting improved ways of working within the team and the wider Centrica Business Solutions organisation Management of multi-technology projects Building relationships at executive level to communicate complex messages to internal and external stakeholders Leading multi-functional teams to deliver complex commercial deals to challenging timescales Leadership, mentoring of less experienced members of the commercial team Key requirements Energy industry knowledge an advantage Understanding of PPA/EPC/industry and standard contract structures desirable Degree qualified desirable but not essential in a business, economics, commercial law or financial discipline Strong negotiation skills Why join?
