Main duties of the job To assist the nursing team to ensure the day to day running of the Chemotherapy unit is maintained to the highest standard.The post holder will be responsible for supporting the nurses with observations, venepuncture, PICC and PORT flushes using posiflush, and dressing changes.Our values are Bold, Every Person Counts, Sharing and Open and Together.

Job description Job responsibilities The employee will work closely with the nursing team and nurse in charge to know what tasks are required on a daily basis.The employee will be responsible for using the relevant IT systems to identify patients who require treatment.
They will be competent in taking and acting on observations.The employee will be competent in venepuncture, or willing to learn.The employee will be competent in Line flush or willing to learn, and PICC dressings.The employee will be responsible for maintaining mandatory training, and adhering to trust policies.
