Job summary We are looking to recruit a forward thinking, energetic and dynamic SeniorClinical Practitioner to work closely with the Management team in the delivery of clinical services provided by Bloomfield Medical Ltd. Main duties of the job As the SeniorClinical Practitioner, you will be responsible for leading, supporting anddeveloping the team of clinical staff who are attending to patients presentingwith a booked appointment or with an unscheduled care need.
It is importantthat the post maintain clinical activity to maintain a strong clinical presenceand competence, leading the whole clinical team with a 'hands on' approach.
About us The Blackpool Urgent Treatment Centres are open access services deliveredby Bloomfield Medical Ltd, working as part of the Fylde Coast Integrated UrgentCare Services (FCIUCS) alongside Fylde Coast Medical Services (FCMS).
TheCentres are based in the Health Centre on Whitegate Drive and BlackpoolVictoria Hospital.
The DVT Diagnostic Service and the local PCN EnhancedServices are also delivered from these sites.

Ensure a schedule of annual appraisals and three yearly revalidations are carried out.
Work alongside HR and other members of the management team plan and recruit appropriate staff members, in line with the recruitment policy.
Oversee the clinical rota and ensure appropriate plans and rotas are in place.
Ensure robust comprehensive individualised induction process for all new staff ensuring mandatory training requirements are fulfilled.
Ensure sessional/temporary staff have robust induction plans in place.
Work alongside the Training Lead, to ensure all our staff are supported in their development.
Clinical Governance Support the work of our Service Leads and Service Manager in providing Clinical Reflections in a timely manner, for all complaints.
Attend and participate in the monthly Clinical Governance meeting and actively support the planned audit cycle.
Support the collection of data to assist the completion of FCIUCS KPI reports.
Support a culture where reporting issues and incidents is commonplace and encouraged to ensure team and organisational learning.
Using Ulysses to ensure timely reporting and monitoring of incidents and complaints.
Take responsibility for the safeguarding lead for the service supporting the named GP Lead.Clinical Responsibilities: Provide expert clinical assessment, screening treatment services and health care advice.
Assess, treat, and advise patients presenting with health care / nursing needs.
Ensure the team are performing to a high standard and in a timely fashion.
Monitor the teams safe clinical effectiveness.
When required ensure patients are referred on to other members of the primary health care team or secondary care as necessary and support and guide others as required.
Ensure all practice is safe and effective and remains within boundaries of competence of individuals and to acknowledge limitations.
Assist/perform minor procedures.
In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the duties and responsibilities associated with an expert practitioner working within primary unscheduled care.
Develop and maintain clinical/nursing policies, procedures, and protocols.
Ensure any patient information is up-to-date and produced in appropriate formats.
Ensure accurate and legible notes of all consultations, treatments and attendances are recorded.
Review NMP across the team, inducting new NMPs as needed.
Ensure clinical supervision is embedded across the clinical team.
Ensure that a robust training & development package is in existence and constantly evolving to meet the needs of the service and of our employees.
Person Specification Experience Essential 10 years post registration experience.
Extensive experience of expert autonomous practice with an unscheduled care setting.
Experience of managing a team.

Understanding and awareness of CQC compliance and essential standards of quality and safety.
