Role Responsibilities: As the lead accountant, this is an exciting opportunity to progress your career.

You will need to be knowledgeable and up to date with tax rules & laws.
Your primary responsibility will be client facing accounting works for a portfolio of clients who require Bookkeeping, Accounts, VAT, Payroll, Company & Personal Tax Returns and regular interaction, mainly by phone and email, but in person occasionally.
The key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Taking over an existing client book and managing new client onboarding Assisting clients with Tax and Accounts planning Completion of bookkeeping and reviews of clients online files to ensure that information is being recorded and allocated correctly Preparation and explanation of year-end accounts, CT600, and Corporation Tax computations for submission Submitting and meeting statutory deadlines for VAT Producing monthly dividend calculations and running payroll giving best tax advice Assisting with closure of companies and giving advice around liquidation and strike-off Completion of Self-Assessment Tax Returns Using FreeAgent & Xero Liaising regularly with clients over phone and email Maintaining client relationships for retention and referrals Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Supporting the Practice Manager with day to day operations Requirements: ACA / ACCA / AAT Qualified Accountant / QBE Proficient in Microsoft Suite Advanced Excel Fully up to date with applicable laws, legislation & regulations Complaint handling and resolution Adherence to our clients core values Service Experience & Compliance Sponsorship is not available for this role.
