Position Summary: The Senior Civil Engineer will play a critical role in planning, executing, and overseeing wastewater-related construction projects.
This role involves the preparation and oversight of technical studies, designs, and plans to support public infrastructure and private developments.
The ideal candidate will have substantial international experience and be well-versed in technical and management aspects of large-scale engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities: Technical Design & Oversight : Prepare and oversee technical studies, plans, submittals, and designs for public works projects and private developments, ensuring all engineering activities align with project and company requirements.
Project Compliance : Ensure project engineering efforts meet contract requirements and support overall project schedules.
Engineering Calculations & Estimates : Oversee and prepare engineering calculations and estimates in areas of specialization.
Construction Coordination : Coordinate services during the construction phase, attend progress meetings, review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and investigate field changes.
Project Management : Manage day-to-day project engineering tasks, including scheduling, budget tracking, and resource allocation.
Documentation & Procedures : Develop, implement, and administer project engineering procedures and related documentation.
Proposal Support : Assist in developing proposals, including project scope and cost estimates for new contracts.
Quality Control : Review, revise, and certify engineering reports, specifications, and drawings within your area of expertise.
Mentorship : Provide guidance to engineering interns and technical staff on project-specific tasks.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Construction Engineering from a Western University (e.g., U.S., Canada, UK, Western Europe, Australia, or New Zealand).
Minimum of 10 years of post-graduate experience in engineering, with at least 3 years in a Western work environment.
Strong knowledge of wastewater and public works construction standards and practices.
Proven experience in technical preparation, construction coordination, and project management.
