Due to our continued success and growing business demands, we currently have a vacancy for a SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER who is looking to develop their career, working on a diverse portfolio of projects throughout the UK.
This role will be based at our Office in Cambridge, offering hybrid working once your induction is complete.
As a SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER , you will be working on a range of structural engineering projects, from concept design through approvals to construction, preparing calculations and technical design information to deliver innovative structural engineering solutions, for both new-build and refurbishment projects.
Key areas of responsibility will include: Build and maintain strong business relationships with clients to achieve long term goals Manage Civil Engineering surveys and report accordingly on findings Approve technical calculations Produce detailed technical designs using AutoCAD/C3D/InfoDrainage Organise and submit technical documentation and drawings for planning/tender/construction Management of internal and external design consultants as part of a coordinated project team Conduct tender analysis and recommendations, when required Manage construction plans with clients and other professionals Lead projects effectively to meet time, cost, and quality targets Provide assistance and support for all team members Assist asset management reviews of client Key client account management – collaborate with client to achieve optimum outcomes Minimum Requirements: Post-graduation experience gained working on Residential, Commercial & Educational Developments Experience in reinforced concrete structures and drainage design would be desirable Hold accredited MEng or BEng degree in civil or structural engineering Be looking to become or be in the process of becoming Chartered Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am – 5pm With success comes reward, and BARKER knows how to reward!
