Main Responsibilities The Senior Chef de Partie will be responsible for: Organisation of allocated kitchen areas to ensure it is clean, hygienic and compliant.
A good understanding of the menus, including daily specials and are able to identify and prepare the relevant ingredients.
Allocated section is prepared and ready to work in with correct equipment in place.
Good communication exists between your section and the other team members.
Good liaison with all staff on any changes in ingredients and stock levels.
Ensures that good hygiene practices are followed, is dressed in accordance with policy and arrives for work on time.
The Senior Chef de Partie will show a willing to learn on new products and strives to increase food knowledge.
Is able to remedy errors quickly to avoid guest dissatisfaction.
Is keen to support own development and completes any assignments in a timely manner.
Ensuring allocated kitchen area is cleaned and maintained throughout the day to a high standard.
Supports other kitchen team by helping clean if own duties are completed.
Ensures all compliance records are completed, under supervision.
Appropriate action is taken for any out of spec readings.
Ensures stock rotation is completed to avoid unnecessary waste of food.
Communicates short shelf lives to enable usage before spoilage.
Experience and Skills needed: Candidates will preferably have a proven track record as a Senior Chef de Partie and will be able to demonstrate an understanding of consistent delivery of great food.
They will be enthusiastic with a positive can-do attitude and a passion for delivering great food and exceptional service everyday.
