Senior Caseworker

On behalf of the MOD, we are looking for a Senior Caseworker (Inside IR35) for a 4 month contract based on a hybrid basis with 3 days max per week in London.

As a Senior Caseworker (Inside IR35) your main responsibilities will be: * Making autonomous and sound decisions in accordance with relevant Government Policy.
Where appropriate, seeking guidance from colleagues, Subject Matter Experts and technical specialists.
* Carefully analysing evidence provided and requesting further information from DBS where necessary.
* Engaging with stakeholders to ensure robust employment checks have been carried out.
* Ensuring that electronic records are promptly and accurately updated to reflect case progress and outcomes.
* Dealing with sensitive and personal information in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
* Responding to queries both internally, externally and from applicants regarding ARAP and supporting shared mailbox management.
* Promptly escalating issues to Team Leads as appropriate.
* Managing and assessing cases in alignment with policy, operating procedures and guidance.
* Notifying applicants by email of the outcome of their application to ARAP once a decision has been made.
* Responding promptly to urgent tasks and Requests for Information.
* Acting and communicating across a range of stakeholders in a sensitive and respectful manner, in line with the intent of the scheme.
* Working to identify if translation or interpretation is required to better aid the applicant and working with DARR translators closely.
* Liaising with stakeholders and OGD's to ensure objectives are successfully delivered.
* Processing cases of interest such as ARAP Category 4.
* Adhering to and ensuring that others are complying with the wider DARR governance and data protection protocols * Completing all mandatory training Essential: * SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role; as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks * High volume Caseworker experience * Experience of using Microsoft Office 365 * Excellent level of administrative skills * Experience of collating and handling sensitive information Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
