You will be managing the work of Adult Social Care Finance (ASCF) staff, assisting Team Managers by operationally managing and developing staff to provide a quality, customer focussed, accountable, and efficient financial support service for adults and children.You will also be working with other managers in the team and colleagues from other business areas to deliver an efficient and effective high-quality service.You will support the Team Manager by supervising designated staff in ASCF; allocating and coordinating their workload; providing advice and guidance on operational matters including complex cases; conducting annual appraisal and supporting recruitment, deployment, development, attendance, and staff conduct activity.You will be managing and resolving complex cases in a timely, sensitive, and effective manner including retrieving and analysing relevant information, working with clients by appropriate means to resolve specific case issues.About YouTo apply for this post, you will ideally have: extensive, up to date knowledge of current legislation, guidance, and national policy on Adult Social Care, state benefits and pensions, and its application in processing case work, associated guidance and established policy and practice demonstrable understanding of the importance of data quality, confidentiality, GDPR, and keeping data safe working knowledge of financial assessments and deferred payments and/or state benefits and pensions and/or mental capacity assessments and the Office of Public Guardian experience in understanding and applying customer service standards when working and communicating with others delivering a quality service without direct supervision and take supervisory responsibility for service delivery, staff, and resources substantial relevant experience in managing a caseload and dealing directly with vulnerable adults, their advocates, and the public skilled at managing own time and that of others effectively, ensuring queries or problems are resolved, tasks are completed accurately, and deadlines met Please tell us in your application what you would bring to this great opportunity.We also expect you to share and will ask you to evidence when you have demonstrated them as part of the selection process.Interested in Flexible Working?We are keen to support employees to balance their working life with other commitments.
