Job summary This role is for a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the care team in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to residents, ensuring their wellbeing and safety.
Main duties of the job As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changes that may impact their care, and ensuring that new needs are met.
You will be involved in the person-centred care planning process, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating care plans.
Additionally, you will be supporting residents with their medication requirements and undertaking staff supervisions, providing development support where required.
You will also be a key point of contact for residents, their relatives, and healthcare professionals involved in their care.

Job description Job responsibilities Package Description: Shift Details: 4 nights/ week - to include weekendsAt Avery Healthcare we believe in caring for those who care for our residents; We recognise and celebrate our hard-working colleagues, supportingyour careerdevelopmentwith a variety of apprenticeships, and provide you with access to a range of leisure and retail discounts.We are nowseekingacompassionate,enthusiastic, and dedicatedindividualto join our friendly, award-winning team as Senior Care Assistant.ABOUT THE ROLEYour focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.Other responsibilitieswillinclude: Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.ABOUT YOUTo be successful in your application, youwill live our values of caring,supportive,honest, respectful, and accountable in all that you do.Our ideal candidatemust: Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
Have 2 years experience working in similar care environment.
Have the ability tocommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Have a positive attitude to both supporting and nurturing residents and staff.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential To be successful in this role, you must have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes and at least 2 years' experience working in a similar care environment.
You should have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and a positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
Additionally, you should be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
