3D modelling and will be responsible for supporting the review of third-party models, developing in-house RPB 3D models, preparing manufacturing drawings, creating RPB standard part libraries, and producing RPB Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
Additionally, the Senior CAD Designer will be responsible for Product Data Management within the CAD package.
Your key focus will be: Review and assess third-party models to ensure adherence to project specifications and standards.
Develop and maintain accurate RPB 3D models using SolidWorks for both short-term and long-term projects.
Create detailed manufacturing drawings to support the production process.
Establish and maintain a comprehensive RPB standard part library for efficient design and production.
Generate RPB Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to accurately depict system processes and components.
Manage product data within the CAD package, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for team members.
Requirements To be successful in this role, you will ideally have a combination of the below knowledge, skills and experience: Bachelor's/Master's degree in engineering (or equivalent), Design, or a related field.
Experience as a CAD Designer, with a focus on SolidWorks.
Proficiency in 3D modelling, surface modelling, and creating manufacturing drawings.
Experience in designing and creating standard part libraries for efficient product development.
Strong understanding of engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning, and tolerancing (GD&T).
Familiarity with RPB systems and the ability to produce accurate P&IDs.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
SolidWorks certification (CSWA, CSWP, or CSWE).
Knowledge of PDM software and data management best practices.
