Senior Buyer (Indirects)

JSS have partnered with a leading brand based in the West Midlands area to recruit a Senior Buyer position focusing on Indirect spend.
After a period of transformation, this role will sit within a newly-positioned, central procurement function and will business partner with the directorate across corporate functions as well as managing wider indirect spend projects.
The role: Develop and implement sourcing strategies for generalist indirect procurement categories including FM, Logistics, Fleet etc.
Conduct market analysis to identify trends, pricing, and potential suppliers, ensuring competitive advantage.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and risk management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and align procurement strategies accordingly.
Monitor supplier performance, manage relationships, and resolve any issues to ensure service excellence.
Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, savings achieved, and market insights to senior management.
Support the Head of Indirect Procurement on deployment of strategies for the business Ensure effective implementation and compliance with new procurement processes, including systems such as Coupa Your profile: Proven experience in a similar procurement role Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and market research.
Relevant procurement qualifications (e.g., CIPS) are advantageous.
