Senior Buyer

If you are an experienced buyer with previous experience working within the Food and Drinks category and you are looking for your next challenge this exciting opportunity to join a growing and leading business within the wholesale sector might just be the one for you.
This role could also suit someone coming from a sales background having prior experience working with retailers, negotiating prices and coordinating promotions.
Responsibilities: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to drive key business areas, including: Coordinating promotional activities Negotiating pricing and promotional funding Managing pricing and margin requirements Overseeing product range management Analysing sales, supplier performance, and market trends Order fulfilment: Ensure optimal order placement across all depots using strategic commercial insights to maximize availability and competitive pricing.
Placing orders Managing stock levels Influencing suppliers to mitigate stock shortages Complete essential administrative tasks with precision and timeliness, including: Reviewing promotional brochures for accuracy in imagery, pricing, and profit on return (POR) Tracking and claiming retrospective funds from suppliers for sponsored promotions Coordinating with depots and other internal teams on category-related matters You'll be joining a dynamic and collaborative environment where you'll be welcomed into a close knit team.
The business has had year on year growth and is continuing to grow it's offering to it's customers nation wide.
This is a full time, office based role 5 days a week.
We are only looking for people with a background in FMCG (Food and drinks) with ideally 4+ years in a buying role.
