Senior Buyer

If you have a proven history of managing a purchasing team in an engineering company and expertise in supplier management, this could be the ideal role for you.

As a Senior Buyer, you will take ownership for achieving the optimum value on total costs through sourcing strategies, supplier evaluation and selection, performance monitoring, and supplier relationship management.

Location: Bridgend

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum

Duties of a Senior Buyer: Oversee the overall management of the Purchasing team. Conduct performance appraisals for the purchasing department. Lead and manage strategic sourcing and purchasing activities for engineering operations. Develop sourcing strategies and lead negotiations with both domestic and international vendors and suppliers. Build and manage strategic supplier relationships and agreements. Monitor supplier quality, delivery performance, and contracts to ensure optimal supply base performance. Lead continuous improvement initiatives in the source-to-pay process, focusing on managed spend, cost savings, and efficiencies. Qualifications/Skills/Experience: Proven experience in management of a purchasing team in an engineering company. Proven experience in supplier management.
